Aunty Lou Lou painting Henna on Tara's hand

Tara's henna tatoo

Darwin at the beach

Darwin Day one

Aunty Lou Lou painted the henna on the back of Tara's hand and Sophia's hand and Rissas' hand and for Luke too. He wasn't as careful with his henna and he smeared it on his other fingers as soon as it went on. Tara carefully guarded the pattern on the back of her hand and she wiped the henna off she had a beautiful dark clear pattern that she didn't want to wet in the sea because she didn't know it wouldn't rub off.

When she went in the little pools left in the sand from the retreating ocean she found that pattern stayed and she splashed and floated in the water on Luke's floaty that he had carried on the bike even when he was sleeping . She splashed salty water in her eyes and did not cry. We were not swimming in the sea as there are crocodiles in the sea in Northern Australia. Aunty Lou Lou says that this is a good thing as  the crocodiles keep the tourists away 👑

Lukey was asleep because we had arrived in Darwin at 1am. We found Lou's house and recognized Colin's small bus outside. We crept into our bedroom around Sophia's sleeping body. Aunty Lou Lou made us cups of tea and found  a fairy book for Tara and Hairy McLairy books for Lukey.
We a woke to Lukey feeling better without a feaver. ☺

Day 6

Tara and Boyd are up early preparing for a super exciting day. Tara is going to Cajas school for the morning. She has picked out her clothes and now eating her breakfast and only just 7am.  She can't wait!  Tara says she is KEEN on going to school. :-)😀

Lukey is asleep again after a busy night. He woke  early screaming and worked into a frenzy. When we finally worked out what he was saying he calmed down a little . He was saying "I want to go HOME".. Boyd and I lay next to him holding hands in tears.  He has had a feaver for 4 days now. Yesterday  we took him up to the doctor who sent us to the hospital because he screamed at us when she tried to examine him. When we got to hospital he told everyone that he wasn't sick but mummy was sick and he agreed to do things to help his sick Mummy.  My little star :-)

He was diagnosed with a virus only and sent home with panadol - not pneumonia like mummy was worried about.

Today we are scheduled to fly to Lou's place in Darwin...

At Di and Andrews Place

Wow. When we got to Brisbane and we had our own house! Di and Jess have  set up the sleep out for us so that we have our own beds , bathroom, kitchenette stocked fruit bowl and a fridge full of beer :-)

Tara got the opportunity to go to Cajas school and she came back with a big Big smile and lots of ideas!
